Still Plugging Away...

I saw my specialist again yesterday for another ultrasound, so I thought it was time to post an update on the little guy. He has grown, actually more than we all expected him to, and is up to 3 pounds, 9 ounces. Last week my doctor told me that if she could get me to 34 or 35 weeks with a 4 pound baby she would be very happy, and if she could get me further, she'd jump for joy. Well, she better be jumping, because I'm 34 weeks tomorrow, and it looks like he's going to be able to stay in there for a while longer. He's still in less than the 3rd percentile, but he seems to be at least maintaining that spot, so that is good news. I'm still on complete bedrest (9 weeks now) and will continue to see my doc twice a week, and see the specialist again in 3 weeks for another ultrasound. It seems like we've pretty much passed the danger zone as far as him coming way to early, so that is a blessing, and the doctors still say that as far as they can tell he looks like he's developing normally, other than his size. We won't know for sure until he's born, but everything seems very positive.

My Mom is back in town to stay until April 20, so she's been cleaning up a storm and keeping Shiloh entertained. It's really fun to watch them together. Izaak is finishing up his semester, plugging away for a couple more weeks. I think he's ready for a break! We're all looking forward to being able to do things together again, like going to the park, going to church, and hitting the beach again, and I'm having serious Target withdrawal. They better stock up for the day I'm free to shop! :)

Good news!! He's getting BIG :) I still can't wait to see the little guy, but it's probably best he stays in you a little while longer... Talk to you soon- Suzy

I'm glad to hear that your little one is growing and is staying put a bit longer! We can personally attest to the fact that babies born at 34 weeks can thrive! :) We're praying for your family!

Hey Anneke, I just wanted to tell you that we're praying for you! Stephanie has kept me updated while my internet went crazy. I am so sorry about all the bedrest! I know it'll be totally worth it when your little boy is here. We miss you guys. Tell Izaak and Shiloh that we said hi, and I'll be looking forward to the post about what you buy at Target when you go!! Love you!

Anneke,
My name is Kristina and your cousin Kristy is a dear friend. She shared your story with me and she also sent me your blog...
I have been praying for you and your family since I heard about you.
We have had some pregnancy issues and unfortunately the Lord has taken three of our little ones to be with Him without allowing us to have even a day with them. I was on bed rest with the last pregnancy (which ended in February) and we have a 2 year old daughter, Katrina. It was a challenge to be in bed with her tearing around the house. Thankfully, my family lives in town and our church family stepped up as well.
I am excited by the news the ultrasound showed. Sounds like things are looking really good and I will keep praying.
I hope you have a chance to check out our site. I think the postings about the pregnancies are in February.

Hey Anneke, we have Missions Conference next week, as I am sure you know, and your Dad will be here. I was sad to hear your mom wont be able to make it, but then I heard the reason. She'll be with YOU!!! And I am so glad. Hope all is continuing to go well, and I will be praying for you. :)
