Mr. Muscles

Here's a cute one of Shiloh flexing his huge guns. :)

No More Curls. :(

We had family pictures scheduled for Saturday night, so we decided we better cut Shiloh's hair, rather than be brushing it out of his eyes the whole time. I've been putting it off as long as possible because he had these beautiful curls in the back, and I just couldn't cut them off. But I gave in and we turned our kitchen into a barber shop for a few minutes Saturday morning. At first he was a little confused about what was going on, then he made a game out of handing Daddy his hair and he sat fairly still. Well, still for him. Here are a few pictures.

My Birthday Weekend

So, can I just say I have the most wonderful hubby ever!!! Saturday was my birthday, and Izaak's favorite thing is to surprise me, which, although I do like surprises, actually drives me crazy beacuse I HATE waiting. So all week I was bugging him for hints and early presents, but he didn't crack. He usually works 10-6:30 on Saturdays, but told me he switched to the early shift so he could go in at 8 and come home early. Well, we got up Saturday morning, and he gave me the new Rush of Fools cd - which is awesome - and got all ready and left. A few minutes later I hear a knock on the door and it's Izaak with Panera for breakfast. He tells me to get in the shower and get ready, and he's going to take Shiloh to play with Uncle Jordan and Aunt Sue. So once we're in the car he hands me a wad of cash and tells me we're spending the day in Williamsburg - shopping! Ok - two of my favorite things already: spending the day with my love and shopping! Then, after shopping we have dinner reservations at an unbelievably amazing gourmet Italian restaurant in downtown Norfolk called La Galleria. The atmosphere was perfect, which sometimes I care more about than the food, and dinner was absolutely delicious. Then, we're on our way back to pick up the little munchkin man, and Izaak drives right past the exit and says he has one more surprise: a hotel on the Boardwalk for the night! It was wonderful! On Sunday we got up and ate at this little mom & pop diner, took a fun but freezing walk on the beach, and then headed back to pick up Mr. Shiloh, who, by the way, wanted to stay with Jordan and Sue. :)

What an amazing man! I'm so thankful for him and the way he loves and takes care of me. It was a perfect weekend, and I'm so thankful for the time to spend with just him and be reminded of just why I love him so much! :)

Trick or Treat!

Here are a few fun moments from our night out candy hunting! We went over to our friends, the Dribbles', house with Caleb, Carmen, and Cole. It was lots of fun. Shiloh was Chicken Little. He quickly caught on to the whole concept of knocking on the door and getting the candy. He always held his hand out for more... I think we need to work on not being greedy. :)

Baby Peanut

Yes, we have another baby on the way! I'm due May 11, and had my first ultrasound today. We're so excited, and working on getting Shiloh ready to be a big brother. Aunt Sue got him to say "baby" a couple times the other day, but he doesn't quite have it down yet. But it's ok, we've got time to work on it. Here's the little Baby Peanut as of this morning. :)

Shiloh's Shiner

Shiloh got his first shiner tonight! We were playing peek-a-boo in the bathtub, and he tried to climb up the very slippery slanted end of the tub, and Wham! He had a big purple bump right away and was crying, so I got him out to calm him down. I showed it to him in the mirror, and he's definately a boy because he got a huge grin on his face and went nuts. I think it must have given him a power boost (like he needs that...) because he went full force for the next 2 hours. Needless to say, I couldn't hold any ice on it for longer than 3 seconds, so I eventually gave up and let him enjoy it. :)

Here are a few pictures that actually don't do the swollen bruise justice, but it's hard to get a good pic when he's going 50 miles an hour...

Picnic at the Park

Last weekend we decided to pack up our dinner and head over to the park. It was lots of fun, and of course, Shiloh loved it.

He's still not talking, but he attempts to repeat more of what we say, it's just always one syllable. He does know the animal noises for cow, sheep, rooster, turkey, doggy, elephant, squirril, and owl. It's so cute!

Here are a few pics from the park.

Labor Day Weekend

On Labor Day Weekend we went camping in the Outer Banks with the Costons. It was beautiful and fun (except the boys, mostly Shiloh, didn't have so much fun sleeping). We camped in Hatteras, then spent Monday on Ocracoke Island. It was absolutely beautiful! Carmen and I are already making plans for our husbands to start a church there... :)

It was really hard to choose only a few, but I won't bore you with all 400... :) Here are a few pics.

Baseball

Tonight Izaak and I went to a Norfolk Tides game with our small group from church. We left Shiloh at home with Uncle Jordan. I thought I'd post a picture of us even though the little man's not in it. :)

Peek-a-boo!

Shiloh and I were playing peek-a-boo around Daddy's desk chair. I love his cheesy grin. :)

Why buy toys?

Shiloh's new favotire game: playing in boxes. He literally plays in them for hours. It's so cute. And very cheap. :)

Tub Time!

Bath tub pictures have got to be some of my favorites. Here are a couple cuties.

It's been a while...

Wow... it feels like forever since I've sat down and posted some pictures. We went on vacation to Branson, MO, at the beginning of August, and our camera drowned in a puddle of water at the bottom of a canoe. Bummer. A friend of ours bought us a new one, but I've been researching and buying and returning cameras since then. We finally decided on a camera, but I'm still trying to get our pictures off of our old memory card. So, until I get those pictures, here are some from the park yesterday.

He's a Climber...

Shiloh and I got home from the pool today and I came over to check my email, and when I turned around he was standing in his stroller! It took him all of 3 seconds to get up there... I think I need to start tying him down... :)

Slip & Slide

So tonight we went to Jordan and Sue's, and Jordan had this ginormous strip of plastic that we hosed down and soaped up. Then we used our boogie boards to shoot from one end to the other. It was so fun! Shiloh was hilarious - he was trying so hard to walk on it, but he kept falling on his face. Here are a few pics.

A Morning in the Park

This morning we rolled out of bed and took Shiloh to the park. It's so nice - the city park is right behind our apartment. Shiloh had a great time, as always. His favorite things are swinging and climbing up the slides. It's really cute, but hard for him to do when the park is full of kids. This morning only the lawncare people were there, so he had free reign of the slides... :)

Studying with Daddy

Izaak was teaching Shiloh to read... :)
